Breast Cancer Support Group
This group welcomes women who are living with breast cancer; it
offers a monthly meeting featuring educational presentations. The
group meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m., in the
Fanning or Scanlon Room, Mercy Medical Plaza 1.

meetings: Thursday, May 8, 7 p.m., Fanning room. Discussion
of a cancer survivorship plan.
REGISTER
Breastfeeding and More
Weekly group for breastfeeding families. Expecting parents are also welcome. No fee. Group meets Thursdays, noon to 2 p.m., McAuley room, Mercy Medical Plaza 1. Call Mercy On Call for specific dates.
Breath
of Fresh Air
This support group is for people living with chronic lung disease.
It meets on the first Monday of each month, except during January
and February.

will present a program, "Update on Stroke Prevention and

Cardiac
Support Group
This group provides monthly education and support meetings; a heart-healthy
luncheon is also available for $5 (payable at door). All meetings
are held on the third Monday of each month at 11:30 in the McAuley
room, Mercy Medical Plaza 1. A presentation follows at 12 noon. Reservations
are requested no later than the Friday prior to each meeting. Call

Upcoming
meetings: Monday, May 19, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dr. Richard
Ammar, cardiologist, will discuss peripheral vascular
disease. A heart healthy lunch will be available for $5 payable

Diabetes
Support Group
This group provides support for those with Type 2 diabetes. The
group meets in the First Floor Conference Room (unless otherwise
noted) on the first Thursday of each month, with times alternating
between day and evening. At the noon meetings, participants are
invited to bring their lunch; beverages provided. Register by calling
Mercy On Call at 358-2767.

Holistic
Stress Management
The World Health Organization has declared stress a global epidemic.
We can allow ourselves to fall victim to this epidemic, or learn
ways of using stress as a challenge and opportunity for spiritual
growth. Mercy offers just that opportunity with a Holistic Stress
Management series. Classes are taught by Shari Hebl, RN. Shari has
been practicing holistic medicine for more than ten years as a Healing
Touch Practitioner and Certified Holistic Nurse.
The registration fee is $40 per person for all five classes or $10

Each
participant may attend as many sessions as they wish. Call Mercy

HOPE
Cancer Support Group
This group provides friendship, support, and education for people
living with newly diagnosed or chronic cancer, their families and
friends, and interested professionals. The group meets on the second
Monday of each month at 7 p.m., in the first floor conference room.

Group
This group provides information, support, and friendship for stroke
survivors and their families and friends. It meets twice each month
at Mercy from 1:30 to 3 p.m., in the first floor conference room.
