Charles
R. Buck, MD, MPH, FACOEM
|
Charles
Buck, MD, MPH, received his medical degree from the
Medical College of Wisconsin and completed a medical internship
at West Virginia University Medical Center. He later completed
a general preventive medicine residency at the U.S. Army Environmental
Hygiene Agency. Dr. Buck completed his master's of public health
degree in environmental epidemiology at the University of North
Carolina School of Public Health before becoming board certified
in general preventive medicine. Dr. Buck is a certified medical
review officer.
Dr. Buck has actively practiced occupational medicine for more
than 30 years. He started his career in the U.S. Army as a Preventive
Medicine and Occupational Medicine Officer. He was Assistant
Medical Director at Michigan Bell Telephone Company in Detroit
before serving as the Medical Director of John Deere Waterloo
Operations. After working in two occupational health clinics
in Wisconsin, he returned to Iowa, again serving as Medical
Director for Deere's Waterloo Operations.
Dr. Buck is available to see employees for pre-placement evaluations,
work injuries, disability and impairment ratings, and independent
medical evaluations. He provides complete routine occupational
medicine services and has a special interest in causation and
chronic disability management. |

Theodore A. Koerner, MD, MPH
|
Theodore
A. Koerner, MD, MPH received his medical education
from Tulane Univeristy School of Medicine in 1978; his PhD
in Biological Chemistry from Louisana State University; and
his MPh in Occupational Medicine from the University of Iowa.
Dr. Koerner is board
certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in
Occupational Medicine and is a certified
medical review officer

Tina
Stec, MD, MPH
|
Tina Stec, MD, MPH, received her medical education
from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 2005 and
did a residence year in family practice before starting an Occupational
and Environmental Medicine residency in 2006. She is interested
in preventive medicine, specifically injury prevention and smoking
cessation.
Prior to medical school, she received a B.A. in anthropology
from the University of Iowa. |

Thomas Dean, PA-C |
Tom
Dean, PA-C, graduated from the United States Army Physician
Assistant Course in 1986 and received his Bachelor of Science
degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine.
Tom Dean
has worked for Mercy Occupational Health in Iowa City since
1998. He is available to see employees for pre-placement evaluations
and work injuries. His medical interests include blood borne
pathogen exposures and acute injuries involving musculoskeletal
disorders.
Tom is certified
by the National Commision of Certifying Physician
Assistants and has sub specialty certifications in primary
care abd surgery

Julie Burzacott, RN, CLNC
|
Julie
Burzacott, RN, CLNC, received her nursing degree from
Iowa Methodist Medical Center. She has 14 years of experience
in medical nursing, including management, as well as four years
in utilization review and discharge planning in a hospital setting.
She has four years of experience in occupational health and
has been preparing charts for Independent Medical Exams (IMEs)
for the past two years. She also has been assisting Mercy Hospital's
Risk Management staff with chart reviews, audits, and JCAHO
preparations.
Julie is available to assist in the IME process for patients
seen in the Mercy clinics and is also available to perform chart
reviews for patients not seen in the Mercy clinics.
