Parenting
Series
Today's parents face situations for which they often have little
or no preparation. These classes assist parents of children ages
two years to teens with day-to-day issues they may face with their
children, ages two years to teens. Topics will vary with each session
and are offered individually (see below for dates and topics).
Classes are
taught by Shari Hebl, RN. Shari has worked in obstetrics for over
30 years. She has been a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator for
over 20 years, teaching classes for Mercy Hospital since 1991. She
is also certified to teach Infant Massage, Redirecting Children’s
Behavior, The Happiest Baby on the Block, and Holistic Stress Management.
Fee is $15 per couple; $10 per single

held 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., classroom 3, Mercy Iowa City, 500 East Market

Monday, May 19: "Balancing Love and Discipline-Less talk, more
action."
Monday, June 16: Encouraging Your Child-Instead of nagging, ordering,
criticizing,
or punishing."

Monday, September 15: "Do You Love Me?-The value of knowing
love languages."
Monday, October 20: "Family Meetings-Creating meaningful family
time."
Monday, November 17: "Family Meetings-Creating groundwork for
a family you're
proud of."
Monday, December 15: "Tradition” Making wonderful memories
that last a lifetime."
