Mercy and physicians plan new outpatient surgery facility

Mercy Iowa City and a group of 27 affiliated surgeons have received unanimous approval from the Iowa Health Facilities Council to build a $9.3 million outpatient surgery facility in Iowa City. It will be located in Northgate Corporate Park, near the intersection of Interstate 80 and Highway 1.

The new facility will provide easy access for outpatient surgery and will increase surgical capacity at Mercy.
