A current typing speed score is required for all clerical positions.
If you are applying for a clerical position, you may take a typing
test at Iowa Workforce and Development Center. The test is free
of charge, and your results will be faxed to Mercy Iowa City, attn:
Human Resources, at your request.
The Iowa Workforce Development Center in Iowa City is located in
the Eastdale Plaza, at 1700 S 1st Ave., Suite 11B. You may apply
between 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Applying In Person
Mercy Iowa City is located at
500 East Market Street, near downtown Iowa City. Please come to
the Human Resources Department anytime between 8am - 4pm, Monday
through Friday. It is located on Level 1, across the hallway from
the main elevators. Stop in the Hospital's main lobby for directions
to Human Resources if needed.

position you are interested in, and we will review your file and
let you know your status. You may re-contact us by email, phone
call, or stop in HR. Applications are kept on file for approximately
one year from the date of the original application.
