FREE PRESENTATION FOCUSES ON EARLY TEEN YEARS
September 10, 2007/Iowa City, IA: Early adolescence can be a challenging time for youth and parents alike. Mercy Iowa City is pleased to invite area parents to a free dinner and program to help address those challenges.
Rick Zingher, professor of social work at Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, will present “Helping Your Child Through the Challenges of Early Adolescence” on Thursday, Sept. 27, at North Central Junior High in North Liberty. A complimentary dinner will be provided in the cafeteria beginning at 6 p.m., and the program will follow at 7 p.m. North Central Junior High is located at 180 E. Forevergreen Road.
In addition to teaching at Mt. Mercy, Rick Zingher is a psychotherapist, childbirth educator and father. He addresses the growing pains of young teens, the many influences on them and how parents can help with this transition.
