December 3, 2007/Iowa City, IA: Mercy Iowa City will be offering paid internships this summer. These internships will be available to all nursing students who have successfully completed their Junior year of an accredited nursing program by May, 2008 and will be entering their senior year in August, 2008. Internships will run approximately 8 weeks in length and will begin in June. First priority will be given to those students who are willing to commit to one year of employment at Mercy Iowa City after graduation from nursing school.
Internships will be available in the following areas:
Intensive Care Unit, Telemetry, Emergency Care Unit, Skilled Nursing Facility, 3 Center (orthopedics); 3 West (medical/surgical); 4 Center (medical)
The deadline for application is Friday, February 15, 2008. A Mercy employment application and questionnaire must be completed by all applicants. Applicants are also required to submit current transcripts.
