January 11, 2008/Iowa City, IA: Mercy Iowa City and the Couple to Couple League will offer a four-session Natural Family Planning class on Wednesdays, January 23, February 20, March 19, and April 16, 6:30 to 9 p.m., Fanning room, Mercy Medical Plaza 1.
Natural Family Planning is a safe, simple, and natural way of avoiding or achieving pregnancy. It is based on observing the signs and symptoms of ovulation which occur during a woman’s menstrual cycle.
The class fee is $40; no one is turned away because of inability to pay. The fee includes a copy of The Art of Natural Family Planning, a year’s supply of temperature charts, a basal thermometer, a year’s subscription to the Couple to Couple League magazine and counseling on using the method.
Class instructors are Gary and Geralyn Ward.
