Iowa City nurse chosen as one of the 100 Great Iowa Nurses for 2010

City, IA: Marilyn Hanson, RN, has been recognized as one of the
100 Great Iowa Nurses for 2010. This award recognizes Marilyn meaningful
and lasting contributions and the fact that she is viewed as a mentor
to others. Marilyn works in Mercy’s Surgical Outpatient Care
Unit and well as other patient care areas. She is a long-time BLS
instructor and has helped with many educational programs in the
community.
Marilyn was recognized
at a ceremony in Des Moines on Sunday, May 2, 2010.
Previous Mercy recipients
include Kim Pattee, Jane Knopick, Bruce Anderson,
Kathy Hirl and Sue Szczech.
